What is Argentium Silver?

Argentium silver is a superior, high performance silver with increased tarnish resistance, a brighter, whiter color, and antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. Compared to traditional .925 Sterling, the .935 Argentium silver we use in most of our silver jewelry has a higher silver content and the unique ability to fuse to itself and other precious metals. Argentium silver is more expensive than traditional Sterling due to the raw materials used to make this unique alloy, but the benefits outweigh the incremental expense in our opinion. Visit the Argentium International Ltd. website to learn more.

How do I take care of my silver jewelry?

To keep your silver looking shiny and new, we recommend cleaning it with a soft, non-abrasive cloth in warm water and dish soap, preferably Dawn. Polishing with a jeweler's cloth designed for silver is also ideal.

You can reduce tarnish by wearing your silver jewelry often. The oils in your skin will “clean” the silver and keep it looking shiny. Contact with household chemicals, perspiration, rubber, substances which contain sulfur, chlorinated water, and direct sunlight will cause corrosion and tarnish, so it’s a good idea to remove silver jewelry when doing household chores, swimming, or sunbathing. Lotions, cosmetics, hair products, and perfumes also accelerate tarnishing, so put on your silver jewelry last.

Is the jewelry you make sustainable?

Yes, the Argentium silver that we use in most of our jewelry is made from reclaimed silver and its sources are guaranteed by Argentium International Ltd. . We also we keep all of our scraps and melt them down during the casting process in some of our sandcast creations.
